What Is the Golden Dome?

The Golden Dome concept is a multi-layered, multi-domain missile defense architecture designed to protect the United States and its allies from ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles, as well as advanced aerial and cyber-enabled threats. It combines space-based sensors, terrestrial radars, interceptors, electronic warfare, cyber defense, and resilient communications into a single, coherent shield.

To make this vision real, the Department of Defense needs more than hardware. It needs AI-native, software-defined, data-centric systems that can:
